  I submitted a reservation to rent a car for Thursday Feb. 22, from London Ontario, at the oxford branch ,about a week ago as I had a job interview in a Toronto. I requested to pick it up at 8 so I would get to my interview at 11 on time. Upon my arrival I wash so shcoked to find out that they didn’t have a car for me, panicking because I had no other way to get to my interview, they suggested calling other locations to see if other vehicles were available, nothing available until they called a competitor, who had the car I requested. Not only did the competitor end up charging me DOUBLE what I originally reserved for with DISCOUNT, but the whole process made me late to my interview.

  I have had this problem with them before, and I therefore submitted a claim to them before and they assured that they would get someone to handle my case, so I had piece of mind that this wouldn’t happpen again. I also was told someone would contact me and no one ever did.

  Save yourself and go book elsewhere, it be abit cheaper but when they don’t end up fulfilling your reservation you will have to pay the premium and deal with a lot of stress.

  I rent from this location regularly and I've always had a positive experience. The manager Kayla is always friendly and takes a tremendous amount of pride in her work and it shows. She has my vehicle and paperwork ready to go every time I show up. The entire staff is always a pleasure to work with. This location is consistently exceptional. There are never any surprises and they have the best prices by far. I HIGHLY recommend this location! Thanks again guys!!!

  The interior of the windshield was super dirty which made it ready difficult to drive the truck safely on the highway. When I mentioned these complaints upon returning the car, the person issuing my receipt suggested me to talk to the manager the next day. They never got back to me (although I left a feedback through Discount website) and never apologized for what happened and any considerations to prevent this happening to other customers in future. I had positive experiences with car rental (two star rating ); however they failed this time.

  Truck was ready 30 minutes later than my reservation (putting gas, dishwasher and a broken gas cap while telling me it will be ready in a couple of minutes); So I had to wait on my moving day while mover help was charging me $50/hr. Even-though I told them that it is my first time renting a truck they failed to demo the car properly and left me wondering how to release the hand brake etc. . They also forgot to show how to properly secure the loading ramp after using it, which lead to other cars honking at in the street to notify me that my ramp was out!!! I was lucky that it didn't another car otherwise I should have forgotten about my move and run after a car accident!!!

  I’ve been using the service here for 2 years, nothing but good, kind services. Only problem with Discount is that when you call, it goes to the service centre, not directly to the store. If you ask to direct the call, the staffs there are generally kind enough to explain and/or waive some unexpected fees. I just feel bad that they have such a low rating...
